Mt. Doug Park and Great Friends

Though I love to photograph all shapes and sizes of families, I must admit that there is a special blessing in photographing good friends. "J" and "N" are dear friends of ours.  In fact, they introduced me to my husband!  Their son "D" is simply a kick in the pants, and is full of bubbly chattering all of the time. We took advantage of a beautiful evening this last weekend, and let the camera snap away!  I had such a blast with this shoot, and the sun stayed out just long enough to give us that evening warmth that I love to capture!

I love this family, and was so pleased to be asked to photograph them again.

 

 

Beach Birthday Bash

This past weekend was a glorious sunny weekend, and a great time to be out at the beach.

As the winners of a giveaway that I held, the "I" family asked me to deviate from my normal portrait session, and instead to photograph their youngest daughter's 3rd birthday party!  It was an amazing beach birthday party held at Witty's Lagoon. I must admit that I'm completely in awe of "S" (mom) and "B" (dad): they put on quite an exciting party!  What other theme would you have at a beach party but a sea theme?  And they sure did a fabulous job of using their theme in every aspect of the party from sea creature balloons to sea creature cupcakes and cake pops, sea creature candy, beach pail decorating, and even a beach scavenger hunt topped off with a sandcastle build!  Little miss "M" sure had fun ringing in her 3rd year!

I'm thankful to have met such a fun family and to take part in such a fun day!
